Maybe the anointing of J.D. Vance changed the balance of this race but whatever Biden could and should have done is now moot. I felt Biden was the right candidate to defeat Trump had he solved the puzzle of Trump’s lies, instead at the fateful debate, Trump’s lies washed over him like a spell. And it will be like that for Harris too unless they understand the problem deeper.

As soon as Gretchen Whitmer was thrown into the mix, it was obvious to me that an all woman ticket is the way to go. This is because if the Democrats are to win, then this election must be about women first and democracy second. Because only the women can save democracy now.

The recent attack by corrupt radical SCOTUS judges on women in America directly by removing their bodily autonomy, or more indirectly with shadow docket rulings, is mirrored all over the world, there is a worldwide subjugation of women in Islamist and Christian countries and war zones across the world.

A two woman ticket would send a powerful message of change and hope for the United States against the fascists, and Christian nationalists who seek minority control of others by force. With a compliant Supreme Court and a willing GOP all the pieces are in place. Electing Donald Trump would be a disaster of unparalleled significance.

The Democrats need to articulate a kind of meta commentary on the continual Gaslighting by Trump. I still do not think the Democrats and their friends understand what he is doing with his lies, Trump’s lies have gone beyond mere words and become mantras. His lies are mantras.

The Democrats persist in trying to counter this endless cascade of lies by explaining their record and refuting his lies about his own record. This is the wrong way to play this game and while Harris and Whitmer can do the job, they need to be clear on what the job is, and exactly how to do it. Right now I don’t see it happening.

The problem is not Trump’s lies, it is ‘why do 70 million Americans believe his obvious bullshit’. If this problem is not understood and countered fast it will be a disaster. If the worst were to happen it will just make the work that I will be putting out elsewhere on this site, even more urgent and relevant.

I comment on the US elections because of the unseen elements that exactly coincide with the topics that I will be discussing on this site. For example the GOP is claiming some authority on the concept of masculinity and people are buying into it. I will show that in fact the GOP embraces the opposite of masculine qualities. The main one being the protection of women where they are instead creating draconian laws to control their bodies and reproductive life choices. The second most masculine character trait is integrity a quality that has been completely squeezed out of Donald Trump’s party.

Lindsay Graham is the Platonic ideal of the truth teller turned lickspittle politician that has infected the GOP like a cancer and serves as the model that enabled Trump’s rise and predicted destruction of the party.

Maybe it’s already too late, just the fact that whatever happens 70m+ will vote for Trump anyway, and that’s after an eight year look. Maybe America deserves this it’s hard to tell. Perhaps they do but it is the women who will suffer the most and the subjugation of women is the very reason that America has come to this perilous place in her history.
